What is the rest of the month going to look like?
The rest of this week along with some of next week is primarily going to be based on planning and getting everything prepared. Next week on Monday, I'm going to be looking for the right place to film the crash scene, which is the most important scene. On Tuesday I'm going to be looking for a place to film the kidnapping. This should be a dark place with just the right amount of light, making the suspense extremely notable. As seen by the calendar bellow the week of March 2 throughout March 6 is going to my first week on set filming. Following that, the week of March 9 to March 13 is going to be based specifically on editing everything recorded on that previous week. I chose to divide my work like this because I don’t want it to pile up and it helps me stay calm and stress-free. Furthermore, the week of March 16 is going to be based on filming those last-minute secondary shots in order to give me a back up if any shot needs to be changed. Consequently, the week of March 23 will be designated to editing all those last-minute shots and overall tie up the entirety of the project, leaving the last week of March for the creative Critical Reflection.
Along with a calendar, I also created a screenplay. I decided to make a screenplay in order to get the ideas out of my head and transform them on to actual paper, it will also help me keep track of the order of where each thing goes. Additionally, I created a screenplay to show my actors the way they should speak emotionally and get them to start memorizing their lines. Overall, I believe that the combination of the calendar and the screenplay is going to make life a little bit easier for both my actors and myself.
Wow, time goes fast, my next post will focus mainly on the production process and key reflection moments. Even though I am scared of what's to come next, I know that thanks to all my research and planning, I will be ready to start putting my ideas to work. Tune in next week for my first ever production progress post.
