Week Three 2/3

Its shopping time!

Its that time of the project, I have made my list and Home Depot here I go. The creation of my props required some things to be hand made. For example, as seen in my storyboard, the news reporter needs a microphone box. Instead of buying one, I thought It would be more fun to hand-make it and add my personal “News Sation” logo. Furthermore, another thing on my list is red caution tape and traffic cones. These two things will be used to sector off a section of the road that will be visible from behind the news reporter. I decided to this because I believe that all the little details do eventually add up to make a difference. Additionally, I also believe that making the car look like if it was under investigation by police, it would make the entire opening feel more realistic. As seen by the picture below, my idea is to put the tape and cones around the car like they are around this white box. Apart from a shopping list, I also made a quick sketch of one of my movie opening scenes, scroll down to check it out.

Sketch:

Nothing has changed, I'm still a horrible artist, but I decided to create this sketch to visually show what one of my shots is going to look like. As seen on the lower left third, a red car has a flat tire and is stuck on the side of the road. This is meant to represent my three main actors, Santiago, Ricardo, and Rafaella and how they are completely exposed to the wild with no service or way out. Consequently, a strange man is seen wearing a blue shirt on the top left third. In this case, this man is meant to represent the a stalker who has been looking at them for a while and who police consider to be the main suspect. As seen by the rest of the image, the road is completely isolated and has no sign of life apart from my four characters. Overall, I know that I already created a storyboard but this small piece of the storyboard was made bigger to go more in-depth with its context to the opening.
