Week Two 1/3

Movie Ideas:

Wow, this whole posting thing is moving fast, already starting my third post. After viewing some film opening samples I have decided to make a modern type of horror movie, but I just don’t know what the plot is going to be. I have some good ideas on my mind but I just have to figure out a good way to film them. Additionally, I don’t want my movie opening to be a predictable one, so I have to think outside the box in order to make an original product. My main ideas are listed below from best to good.

-- A group of friends go on a road trip and end up on major car accidents, somehow they wake up tied up to a chair on a strangers basement.

--Friends on a road trip stumble upon a backcountry town whose residents all dress up as different types of clown

--A girl scout is selling cookies and visits the wrong house and ends up kidnapped.

--A man is texted pictures of himself in various stages of torture that he has no memory of.

After a long time of sitting down and thinking about my options, I have decided to create my first option (friends crash). I chose this option because I believe that it would be a challenge and I feel like its about time I step out of my comfort zone. I’m planning on using my friends as my main actors. Furthermore, the crash scene is going to take a lot of planning and coordination. That’s why I’m thinking of filming it on a closed road at a park and I’m planning on using different cars to get different angles.

Tune in tomorrow for the storyboard and the planning of each shot
